Dear Valued Patients of Cardiovascular Specialists of Frederick,

We hope this letter finds you in good health. We are writing to provide you with important updates regarding our practice and our affiliation with Frederick Health Hospital.

After careful consideration, the cardiologists at our practice—Dr. Aimee Park and Dr. Nirmal Shah—have elected to no longer serve as active staff cardiologists at Frederick Health Hospital. This change will take effect on April 6, 2026. Consequently, Cardiovascular Specialists of Frederick will no longer hold active staff privileges at the hospital. This will allow us to focus on our office patient care.

What this means for you is that, starting on that date, if you arrive at the emergency room or require inpatient treatment at Frederick Health Hospital, your care will be managed by other qualified cardiologists with staff privileges at the hospital. They will provide prompt and professional attention to your needs during your stay.

The Physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants from our practice will not be available to attend to you within the hospital setting. However, you may rest assured that this change does not affect the outpatient services we provide at our office. Upon discharge from the hospital, our office will be diligent in scheduling your follow-up appointments. Our commitment to delivering high-quality cardiovascular care in our office remains unchanged. Our departure from the hospital will allow us to continue our focus on providing high quality care in our office.

We truly value the trust you have placed in our practice over the years. Our goal is to ensure that your health needs continue to be met seamlessly.

Effective January 1st, 2026, Dr. Sumit Duggal will no longer be affiliated with Cardiovascular specialists of Frederick. We are committed to providing uninterrupted care to our patients.
